Maytree Respite Centre is a small, relatively new, but expanding charity with limited funds and with very specific requirements. Maytree offers a brief stay of four nights to actively suicidal people in a non-medical setting and apart from a small team of paid employees is staffed by some 90 volunteers.

The British Polio Fellowship (BPF), is a national membership organisation which employs 24 staff (full and part time) with more than 50 branches involving 250 volunteers. The BPF seeks to empower and support all people in the UK living with the effects of polio and Post Polio Syndrome.

CLIENT: Malaria No More
APPOINTMENT: Director of Communications

Malaria No More UK aims to help end the suffering and deaths caused by malaria, a preventable disease. It is supporting the UN Goals to cover every man, woman and child at risk of malaria in Africa with a mosquito net by the end of 2010, and to help end deaths from malaria by 2015.
