Director of Volunteer Engagement

Harris Hill are working with an inspiring children's charity who are in need of 6 month cover as Director of Volunteer Engagement to help embed a new strategy and make a big impact for the future of volunteers for this charity.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead on the development and implementation of a volunteer strategy for the charity
Be a strong advocate for volunteering and supporter engagement
Manage a team
Increase the charities ability to involve volunteers and effectively grow this
Develop efficient and effective volunteer processes and systems
Ensure implementation of good practice volunteer management throughout the organisation
Encourage teams to use volunteers in a collaborative and innovative fashion
Add value strategically for volunteering within the charity

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
Understanding of development and implementation of volunteering strategy policy and process including volunteers who have multiple roles (eg. service users, fundraisers etc.)
Ability to manage and analyse information and deliver reports on this
Proven experience of creative and innovative volunteer recruitment and management in regard to maximising the life time value of volunteers and generating both financial and non-financial support
Senior leadership experience within a large and complex environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
