Working as part of a small digital team, you will have responsibility for championing and overseeing the production of user centred content across the charity. Educate and influence other content producers around best practice user centred content that will improve the lives of those the charity supports.
-Manage content across the charity"s digital activity, including websites, social media, e-newsletters and intranet to ensure editorial planning is in place with consistent messaging, hierarchy of messaging and clear links.
-Manage a team of cross organisational content editors to ensure that all content follows the brand guidelines and SEO strategy.
-As part of website redevelopment project, manage the migration of content between the current site and the new one.
-Work with the Head of Digital Engagement and Senior Social Media Officer to deliver the digital strategy by delivering the content plan and feeding into annual work plans.
-Conduct an annual content audit to ensure our content is on brand and updated and ensure that the digital content meets accessibility, security and legal requirements as well as standards of quality and agreed schedules.
-Provide ongoing training, guidance and a framework for staff across the organisation to ensure that content is high quality and clearly meets the charity"s objectives.
-To develop, implement and maintain policies, style guidelines and processes regarding content across all digital platforms.
-With the Head of Digital Engagement, develop and implement user journeys to increase on-site conversion of membership registrations, resources download and campaigns network registrations.
To apply for this position you must have the relevant skills:
-Educated to degree standard or equivalent level of experience.
-Strong experience of managing digital content in an organisation of a similar size, complexity and audience base.
-Experience of managing a content migration from one digital platform to another.
-Experience of working with content management systems across a variety of digital platforms, including email and web and an in-depth knowledge of search engine optimisation.
-Experience of managing web based suppliers/consultants as well as producing tenders for service and contracts.
-Proven experience of developing and delivering digital communications to meet organisational objectives.
-Experience of developing and inputting into digital strategies, creating annual work plans and of evaluating activity to improve future work.
-Keen interest in all aspects of digital activity and new technologies and a track record of implementing new tools and activities to attract and retain audiences.
-Experience of using Search Engine Optimisation, google analytics, Facebook insights and other analytic tools
