Local Fighting Fund Organiser

A reputable membership body are looking for an in the field Organiser to promote the benefits of membership and seek volunteers and advocates. The membership body has a well-established national reach with a solid track record of campaigning and support for their members.

Key Responsibilities of the Organiser include:
Visiting workplaces and assisting non-members to join and engaging current members
Recording the outcome of all workplace visits enabling a picture to be built of how things are working or could be improved
Making group presentations to members and prospective members on the benefits and protections of a membership
Works to recruitment and campaign targets
Maintain a log of their workplace visits, recording the number of people who complete a membership application and any challenges they faced.

Skills and Experience required for the role include:
Excellent organisation skills
Strong communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence members
Good IT skills, ability to use computers and Microsoft Office
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Previous experience of engaging new members would be advantageous
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel
