Events Officer

Harris Hill are excited to be working with fantastic membership charity supplier to find an Events Officer to join their small but vibrant team. You will be managing conferences and meetings within the team.
 
Responsibilities include:
 
To work with the team members and project manage several events, dealing with booking venues, speakers ad negotiating contracts
Prepare written material before event, including handouts and registration forms as well as feedback forms
Build relationships with speakers, from securing them to the run up to the day and onwards
Deal with the content programming, including researching for speakers, agendas and session outlines
Maintain good relationships with venues, members and other contacts
Deliver agreed budgets and handle costs

 
Skills required:
 
Experience of project management, preferably in the third sector
Experience creating and managing event budgets
Experience marketing events and writing creative copy
Knowledge of event implementation, and promotion
Experience liaising with senior level busy professionals, maintaining a suitable appropriate level of contact with all involved -ensuring all information is clear and known to all relevant parties
Confident when communicating with senior professionals and council members both in writing and face to face
Experience of negotiating and using a database
