Planning and Performance Manager

A charity are looking for a Planning and Performance Manager to support their work across the organisation to turn their strategy into reality.

This is a key role in the Strategy and Impact team and will play a leading role in establishing and managing systems to track the charity's progress in delivering the business plan and strategy. This will include; Establishing and managing processes to support programme and project design and reporting; Working with senior managers to improve performance reporting; Managing annual planning and budgeting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
-Business plan implementation including;
-Establishing effective and appropriate systems for programme and project management, and performance reporting.
-Overseeing project management and performance reporting systems, ensuring that agreed processes are followed and key outputs produced on time.
-Co-coordinating annual planning and budgeting process.
-Supporting the Executive Group to oversee organisational business planning and performance reporting.
-Contribute to the work of the wider Impact and Strategy team
-Accountable for the efficient management of team expenditure including supporting the Director of Strategy and Impact in effective budget preparation, planning, monitoring and review.
-Accountable for the analysis and evaluation of the team's performance information, monitoring and reporting against objectives, outcomes and KPIs.

Skills and Experience required:
-A relevant, recognised professional qualification such as PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).
-Substantial experience of providing effective business support to a range of stakeholders, including senior managers.
-Experience of developing, communicating and implementing business plans.
-Experience of coordinating planning and reporting processes across a large organization.
-Experience of developing processes and systems to support business planning, project management, and reporting.
-Experience of developing, reviewing, and analysing performance measures, and presenting performance information in a range of appropriate formats.
-Experience of dealing with complex demands from a range of stakeholders, and negotiating outcomes to ensure that organisational needs are met.
-Proven planning and project management experience to control effective use of resources.
Experience of financial and budgetary management.

In-depth understanding of project and programme management in relation to a complex not for profit organization.
Understanding of appropriate techniques to meaningfully measure performance within a charity.

The ability to manage change effectively.
