Digital Content Officer- Part-time

Digital Content Editor- Part-time 21 hours a week

You will be influencing digital thinking across the organisation and producing accessible, interesting content for a national social welfare charity.

Key responsibilities will include:

-Develop and deliver content for the charity"s website
-Review all existing content on the charity"s website, and liaise with relevant teams to keep it rele-vant and up to date
-Develop and deliver training to help staff improve digital understanding and production of content
-Write content for other digital platforms, including e-campaigning tool and e-mail client
-Oversee relationship with third-party website and intranet suppliers
-Oversee management and content of the charity"s intranet

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

-Experience of writing and editing for a content-driven website, ideally in a charity setting.
-Experience of working with content management systems, preferably Drupal 7.
-Strong understanding of best practices in creating and editing web content , website usability and user experience.
-Understanding of how to maximise use of content across all digital platforms.
-Knowledge of best practices concerning search engine optimisation methods.
-Experience of working with Google Analytics to inform content development.
-Experience of working with external digital suppliers.
-Understanding of importance of key messaging and adhering to brand guidelines.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex issues simply and effectively.
-Good attention to detail, and excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
-Ability to learn quickly.
-A high level of IT literacy including a working knowledge of HTML, CMS and image editing.
-Highly organised with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
-Ability to deal confidently with a range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
