A newly created role where you will be responsible for the development and implementation of a digital fundraising and communications strategy designed to help grow voluntary fundraising income and supporter engagement with a social welfare charity. It will also plan and drive the effective use of communications, engagement and digital channels with existing and new supporters. The role will lead on developing and maintaining the website.

Working with senior management in fundraising and advocacy teams and closely with the Media Manager and other advocacy staff, you will ensure digital fundraising and communications activities are developed and implemented using robust data and evidence.

Responsibilities will include:

-Responsible for the development of a digital fundraising and communications strategy ensuring the establishment of systems, people and processes to fully leverage online channels to drive engagement and income growth - in consultation with the Head of Donor Development and the Director of Income Generation
-Take lead in supporting organisational digital capability
-Support fundraising and advocacy/media teams in realising the income and engagement potential of their campaigns, providing expert guidance on the use of digital channels.
-Champion digital and omni-channel engagement and fundraising approaches
-Responsible for proactively maintaining and improving the current website, amending, adding and generating content as necessary, including copywriting, video, building online actions
-Establish the digital data reporting and analytics platforms


Person specification:

-Experience and success in digital marketing and communications; for fundraising, for the retention of supporters, and techniques for the acquisition of supporters
-Experience in excellent copywriting for digital and delivering creative content
-Experience in liaising with external agencies and suppliers
-Experience in day to day management of website CRM for charity supporters and non technical management of website back end
-Experience of working with donor databases and briefing or carrying out selections, queries and
analysis from that database
Desirable: Degree/Diploma level qualification in a marketing or media related discipline
