Maternity cover 9-12 months
Based in Horsham, West Sussex

An opportunity has arisen with an ambitious charity, who have contributed to some amazing medical breakthroughs. Working closely with the events team, and key teams across the charity, you"ll use your proven experience to create and deliver events fundraising and marketing campaigns with a particular focus on digital and social media channels. The events portfolio currently includes cycling, running events, team challenges and our popular food events.

Key responsibilities:

-To lead the development and delivery of co ordinated events multi- channel marketing and promotional plans, which will maximise income, recruitment, retention, messaging, exposure and cost effectiveness. This may include SEO & PPC campaigns; email marketing; data segmentation, sourcing & purchasing; writing creative and campaign briefs; writing and proofing copy.
To report weekly against recruitment targets, analysing marketing activity and making recommendations to capture new opportunities, for any remedial action and reporting results and key learnings.
-To work closely with event team colleagues to support delivery of kpis and liaise with other key teams across the charity in developing and delivering campaigns.
-To plan and manage event marketing expenditure ensuring activity keeps in line with budget and delivers best value for money.


Person specification:

Skills:
-Excellent digital, social media and emarketing skills.
-Excellent creative, verbal and written communication skills.
-An ambitious self-starter who thrives under pressure; able to demonstrate a flexible and responsive approach to managing a demanding workload.
-Able to build effective working relationships; a natural networker, personable and credible.
-Organisational, analytical and attention to detail skills.
-Ability to inspire and enthuse colleagues and event participants.
-To be fully conversant with all common IT - MS Office, Google Docs, Analytics.
-Able to drive with full UK licence.

Knowledge:
-Technical knowledge of what works in the current events fundraising market – for email marketing, ad words, display ads and social media to drive traffic and increase conversion.
-Understanding of all elements of the event fundraising cycle.
-An appreciation of the different methods of fundraising in the charity sector.

Experience:
-Proven experience of working in a marketing environment with emphasis on digital and social media activity.
-Proven experience of project management, developing and delivering plans, timelines and budgets across a portfolio of events.
-Proven experience of developing and delivering marketing plans across a mix of channels for successful fundraising event recruitment.
-Experience in tracking, analysing and reporting on data with effective analysis and recommendations.
