Development Associate - Major Gifts Fundraising

Harris Hill are delighted to be collaborating with a UK top 100 university who are seeking a Major Gifts Fundraising Development Associate. This role will involve developing, implementing, promoting various fundraising strategies and programmes to maximise income in the form of major gifts from individuals, charitable trusts, foundations and corporate partners.  
Key responsibilities include:
Managing strategic projects and high priority donor relationships with the aim of attracting major gifts at the six-figure level
Managing a high-profile portfolio of individuals (including legacy prospects), trusts & foundations and corporations
Independently managing the production of effective written proposals and presentations to donors and prospective donors for fundraising purposes
Liaising closely with the Donor Relations team to ensure consistent, coordinated and high-quality stewardship of donors, including at cultivation events

The successful candidate will have:
Substantial evidence of success as a professional fundraiser stewarding and securing gifts at the six-figure level
Have a strong track record of successfully negotiating and managing relationships with senior and/or high net worth individuals
Demonstrate knowledge of trends, techniques and best practices in major gifts fundraising
Be an excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills
