Digital Content Producer

Working for a professional health body, the Digital Content producer will play an important role in developing dynamic and compelling content across all our communications platforms. You will be pro-active, personable and have strong communication skills.

You will be an integral part of the team as it delivers the organisation's news and campaigns strategy. You will work across all platforms including media relations (traditional and online), campaigns, blogging, digital, print publications and video, social media, member communications and events. With a journalistic or media background, you will be creative and proactive in using digital tools to tell our story to a range of audiences.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively generate engaging and creative content for all communications platforms using desktop and handheld technology.

Work with the News and Campaigns team to develop a cohesive and compelling social media strategy.

Spot story ideas as well as scope out opportunities for engagement in online and traditional media conversations.

Translate complex ideas and information into accessible, attractive forms, from written features to attention-grabbing infographics.

Enhance our website, adding new content, including videos and podcasts, and reviewing existing content to ensure it is fresh, relevant and up-to-date.

Manage the Intranet, taking a proactive approach to developing content that will inform and engage.

Generate and write content for email campaigns, prepare and distribute bulk emails, including data handling and take responsibility for developing the fortnightly media round up to members.



Essential Experience:
National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) qualification, or demonstrable journalistic or wider public relations or communications, experience.

Experience of working with content management systems, particularly WordPress or Drupal.

Experience of using hand-held digital devices and apps to create compelling content.

Experience of working with social media, such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
