Trusts & Foundations Manager

Harris Hill are actively seeking an experienced Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser to join an exciting community welfare charity based in East London.

Working closely with the Head of Income generation this role is responsible for developing and maximising as portfolio of new and warm donors and seeking to extend their support.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with trusts and foundations and build good working relations with both trustees and key staff
- Developing stewardship plans to retain the long-term support of existing funders
- Prepare and submit high quality funding proposals and budgets in accordance with timetables and application criteria
- Cultivation of potential funders including arranging site visits and delivering presentations to secure their support
- Maintaining accurate financial and client records (current and new business) and have overall responsibility for the Raisers Edge database

Experience & skills
- Previous experience of research and securing four and five figure grants (unrestricted and restricted funding) from trust and foundations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good copy writing and proof reading ability
- A good working knowledge of fundraising best practice and relevant legislation
- Experience of preparing, and presenting budgets and working knowledge of charitable financial accounts
- Good research skills with experience of identifying quality new business leads
