Supporter Events Officer (P/T)

An opportunity has arisen for a Supporter Events Officer on a part time basis (21 hours p/w) at an influential medical charity. The successful applicant will work to help plan, administer and deliver sports and challenge events having responsibility for engaging with participants and supporters.

Key Responsibilities include:
-Recruitment of sports and challenge event participants and acting as the main point of contact for participants and volunteers
-Creation of written correspondence and marketing material and promoting events via email, social media and print
-Ensuring all gifts are raised appropriately and that Gift Admin team are updated
-Effective use of the Raiser's Edge database to enter and extract data as required
-Maintaining an up to date supply of printed and event related materials for staff members
-Coordination of special projects with responsibility for their success

Skills and Experience Required:
-Experience of working on challenge events within a fundraising team
-Good database management and understanding (Raiser's Edge desirable), strong computer skills
-Strong communication skills written and spoken ability to produce compelling promotional material, to send clear and concise emails and professional telephone manner.
-Good level of numeracy skills, accurate with attention to detail
-Proven experience of using social media in a professional capacity
-Flexible and willing to work occasional unsociable hours where needed
