Event Manager

I am working on behalf of a leading professional body who is hoping to appoint an Event Manager on a permanent basis. You will be required to oversee and organise all of the organisations events that will have an impact on a range of target audiences, both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage all internal and external events, conferences and meetings from start to finish, according to requirements, target audience and objectives.

Contribute to the successful delivery of the organisations overall communications strategy.

Guide members, colleges, committees and faculties through the event planning process efficiently and effectively.

Work with external partners to jointly deliver events.

Manage all external suppliers, communicating effectively our requirements and ensuring best value for money at all times,

Manage event budgets.

Seek income generating opportunities where possible,through sponsorship and advertising.

Essential Criteria:

At least two years' event management and promotional experience.

Proven experience of event advertising and promotion.

Experienced in a range of administrative systems and procedures

Experience of the charitable/voluntary sector.

Excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
