Fundraising Officer

A large health/medical charity in London, seek a Fundraising Officer to help set up a new fundraising team, aimed at raising income from direct mail, community, events, in memory and legacies.
This is a trial role for 3 months however, should this prove successful, could move into something more permanent.
Key purpose:
This role will support the Fundraising manager as the key point of contact for the charity.
To co-ordinate supporters raising money to support the Charity through direct mail, events, community, in memory and legacy fundraising.
To provide excellent customer service for our supporters and ensure Service Level Agreements are being adhered to.
Key objectives
To respond to front line supporter communications and requests by phone, online, email and post. To correctly upload and track these communications on the database.
Manage the Fundraising Team's central phone and email accounts, including following up any queries.  Respond quickly to all standard and non-routine requests from our stakeholders to ensure that these are acknowledged and resolved within specified service levels.
To ensure all supporters are stewarded in a consistent and cost-effective manner and encouraged to extend their support when appropriate, whilst offering outstanding customer care.
To manage and prioritise unpredictable and frequently interrupted busy workload.
Service delivery:
To support the Fundraising Manager to project manage our Christmas direct mail fundraising appeal.
To support the fundraising manager in the delivery of a selection of pre-determined fundraising events.
To support our community and events fundraisers with their own sporting and community challenges.
To support and provide our in memory fundraisers with a high standard of care.
To lead on all stewardship and communications with enquirers and participants, including thank you letters.
To respond to legacy enquiries in a sensitive and timely manner.
To be responsible for all administration in regarding fundraising.
To liaise with the Financial Administrator to ensure that all gifts receive appropriate acknowledgement within three days of receipt.
Update and maintain records on Raisers Edge to agreed standards and timescales.
To adhere to relevant policies, procedures and legislation in respect of fundraising and data protection.
