Our Executive Search team
Aled is the Chief Executive and owner of Harris Hill Limited. With an extensive and highly successful track record in the recruitment industry he is actively involved in all senior executive campaigns that we handle.
Aled read Physics at Oxford University, spent 10 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has been a CEO for 19 years with a number of firms; broad-ranging experience which he is able to bring to the evaluation of candidates. He has recruited for numerous high-profile and smaller organisations including Samaritans, Parkinson's, Alexandra Palace, U3A and Diabetes UK.
Ros has over 10 years' experience in specialist recruitment and Executive Search. Ros started her career with the Arts Council in Arts Development and then moved into a career in recruitment developing new areas of business, building and managing high performing teams and start-up specialisms.
She joined Harris Hill from a boutique financial and legal services search firm where she set up a new arm of the business focusing on senior retained search projects - MD, partner, VP, director, senior legal counsel and risk and compliance talent in legal functions of financial institutions, insurance companies, consulting firms and regulatory bodies. Prior to that she was with a global recruitment firm for 6 years leading teams and working within public sector finance, commerce & industry finance and then set up legal teams for the company on a regional and national scale.
She has a BA in History of Art and International Law from the University of Leicester and the Diploma in Recruitment Practice from the REC.
Jenny has 6 years' experience in Executive Search, beginning as a researcher before becoming a consultant. She joined Harris Hill from a boutique financial services search firm in the City of London, where she worked on senior level appointments at major international and regional banks, family offices and other financial institutions across London, Europe and the Middle East.
Jenny's recent placements include the Chief Executives of St Michael's Hospice in Hereford and Compton Hospice, the Chief Executive and the Director of HR & Training at Prior's Court Foundation, the Chief Executive of the East London Business Alliance, the Chief Executive of Stonepillow, the Chief Executive of bibic and the Chief Executive of the British Youth Council.
She has a BA in English and Related Literature from the University of York.
Abby recently graduated from the University of Birmingham with a first class degree in Political Science and Philosophy. She joined Harris Hill as a researcher in 2016 following work experience from internships at an international city law firm and a boutique private equity firm in the city.
Abby also has longstanding commitment to the charity sector, having volunteered on a weekly basis throughout university at a local play scheme for children with disabilities, Age UK and the Trussell Trust.
She has also worked as a community facilitator at the National Citizen Service where she led various teams of young people in coordinating charity visits and campaign days to enable them to produce and deliver social action campaigns in their local communities.
Briefing and Preparation
In-depth briefings are the key to success in any search process. For each campaign, we agree a dedicated recruitment Director who provides consistent and personalised project management throughout the campaign. The Director is supported by a Research Manager and together they spend time with relevant stakeholders to gain the best possible understanding of the role and its importance to your organisation. These briefings provide the opportunity to agree the best strategy for your recruitment and the basis for the development of comprehensive and compelling marketing information.
Candidate Search and Attraction
We understand that every campaign is unique and we develop a candidate search and attraction strategy that is entirely tailored to your role and organisation. Our in-house Research Managers have extensive experience of attracting diverse and high calibre candidates across all sectors. We use fresh, systematic and creative research, alongside our extensive existing networks, to ensure you have the strongest possible range of potential candidates for your appointment.
Interview and Assessment
Following the research and attraction stage, we conduct thorough preliminary interviews with selected candidates to assess their fit against your particular brief. These interviews are also an opportunity for potential candidates to gain a better insight into your organisation and ask us any initial questions. The result of this process is a comprehensive shortlist of recommended candidates.
Appointment and Aftercare
A bespoke and robust interview process plays a vital role in ensuring a successful appointment. We advise you on the most appropriate structure, assist with interview questions, presentation topics or assessment days, and co-ordinate all logistics. Once a preferred candidate is selected, we manage the negotiations and obtain professional references.
