Head of Events

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an inspirational and visionary children's charity as part of their growing fundraising team. Established in 2000, Caudwell Children works to transform the lives of disabled children and their families, enabling them to challenge the barriers they face throughout childhood by providing practical and emotional support.

Caudwell Children is going through an exciting period of growth having recently opened a new state-of-the-art facility for multi-disciplinary therapy programmes for childhood disability and research of neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism, within the grounds of Keele University.

This transformational period brings the need to develop all income streams to enable this growth and so Caudwell Children are looking for an experienced Head of Events to join their team on a permanent basis.

Staff at the Caudwell International Children's Centre, Keele

This is a new role at Caudwell Children and a particularly exciting time to join this fast growing charity in a year where they have launched their amazing new £18m autism diagnosis and assessment centre and international/national headquarters at Keele University Science & Innovation Park. In 2020 they are also celebrating their 20th anniversary.

As Head of Events you will be supporting the Associate Director of Events to build on and develop the portfolio of events and challenges along with a team of six staff. You will raise funds by recruiting, inspiring, and developing support for the charity through major events, sports and challenges.

To be considered for this position you will have substantial experience of managing and marketing a range of sporting and challenge events and securing high levels of sponsorship income. It will be beneficial to have had experience of working within a complex environment, ensuring speedy decision making and a systematic approach to overcoming obstacles.
