Candidate Services - Health and SafetyGENERAL INFORMATIONT FOR TEMPORARY PERSONNEL ABOUT RULES COVERING HEALTH & SAFETYWorking Practices- You must not operate any item of equipment unless trained, and authorised to do so.
- You must not remove any guarding from equipment used or deviate from your authorised usage of the equipment
- You must report immediately any equipment defect, and never attempt repair.
- You must undertake all duties as instructed and never deviate.
Hazard/Warning Signs & Notices- You must comply with all hazard/warning signs and notices displayed on the premises.
Working Conditions/Environment- You must make proper use of all equipment and facilities provided to control working conditions/environment.
- You must ensure you keep your work areas clear/tidy.
- You must dispose of waste/scrap in the appropriate receptacles.
Protective Clothing & Equipment- You must wear protective equipment where required.
- You must never obstruct any fire escape route, fire equipment or doors.
Accidents- You must see the first-aider for any injury you may receive, irrespective of how minor, and ensure details are entered into the accident book.
- You must report any incident in which damage is caused to property.
Health- You must report any medical condition that could affect the safety of yourself or others.
- You must not become involved with horseplay, or practical jokes.
- You must follow all rules pertaining to no smoking areas.

- Please make yourself aware of the organisations Health and Safety policy along with Fire exits.
- Please make sure you call your Account Manager/Executive before 9.00am if there is any reason why:
- You cannot arrive at your booking on time
- You are unable to attend work due to sickness
- Please make sure you do not take days off without first agreeing it with your direct line manager and notifying your Account Manager/Executive at Harris Hill.
- Please make sure you send your Account Manager/Executive a written request for holiday pay.
- Please contact your Account Manager/Executive to discuss any issues which cause you concern whilst in the booking you are in.
- Please do not use the organisations computer or telephone equipment for private use without gaining permission from your line manager.
- Please make sure you adhere to the organisations rules and regulations including dress code, computer policy, signing in, use of kitchen or designated food areas etc
- As a representative of Harris Hill we expect you to be polite, courteous and conscientious at all times.
- Please make sure your timesheet is in our office no later than 10.30 am following the week you have worked.
- Please notify Harris Hill of any change in your personal circumstances including address, telephone number, bank details etc.
