Harris Hill are thrilled to be partnering up with the RNLI on an exciting new role in Poole/South West of England. The RNLI’s purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. Since the 19th century, their crews have been risking their lives to save those who are in danger of drowning. They are now looking for a brand-new Capital Appeals Lead.
As Capital Appeal Lead the RNLI want the candidate to integrate teams from across the RNLI and in communities, inspiring collaboration and a passion for the appeal objectives. The candidate will project manage selected campaigns from start to finish, keeping stakeholders on board with regular communication.
Job title: Capital Appeals Lead
Location: Hybrid working arrangement between home and Poole/South West of England, with a requirement to travel regularly to appeal communities.
Grade and salary: Circa £50,000 - £55,000
Hours: Full time
Contract type: Permanent
Responsibilities within this role will include:
Develop campaigns to raise the funds for major projects in the RNLI buildings portfolio.
Project manage fundraising campaigns from start to finish.
Lead the integration of teams across the RNLI and in communities, inspiring collaboration and passion for the appeal objectives.
Ensure compliance with all legislation.
Determine the fundraising strategy for the Weston-Super-Mare Lifeboat Station project.
Develop good relationships with colleagues within the RNLI and within the relevant community.
Lead the development of a compelling case for support.
Take learnings forwards to determine the RNLI’s funding strategy for major projects.
To be considered for this role, you’ll be:
You will be an experienced capital appeal manager, having managed multi-million pound appeals within an organisation with established fundraising streams.
You’ll be able to demonstrate success to date having hit your appeal targets previously.
Your communication and project management skills will be a real strength – you’ll love bringing people together to achieve a common goal and keep the plan on track.
You will be a self-starter with a good understanding of the range of fundraising disciplines.
You will hold a full driving licence.
