Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commerce Manager to join a leading national children’s charity on an 18-month FTC.
Salary: £32,203 - £44,187 (inclusive of London Weighting)
Open to remote or hybrid working.
As Commerce Manager, you will sit within the Income Generation Operations Department, as part of team dedicated to improvement. The objective of this 18-month role is to assess the full landscape of fulfilment practices across the Income Generation Directorate.
The role will be responsible for an audit of the charity’s stock management and fulfilment processes and suppliers, to fully investigate all aspects of relevant contracts and tender processes, to research and gather future requirements and to then make recommendations for a future approach that will help save funds and/or improve efficiency.
As Commerce Manager not only will the work you do make a real difference to how the charity’s Operations deliver for supporters, but the opportunity is provided to develop your procurement, contractual and fundraising experience with a sector leading team. The successful candidate will have significant experience and success in delivering high quality fulfilment solutions (or similar) to supporters and for internal users across a busy, complex organisation. Understanding of fulfilment, warehousing and logistical metrics including storing goods, managing inventory, picking, packing, shipping orders, returns and ensuring best value for money and performance from partners is key, alongside the ability to identify and devise creative solutions and opportunities and to research and evaluate their viability to achieve desired outcomes.
