Development and Alumni Officer (part-time)

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Development and Alumni Officer for an independent school based in Surrey in order to cover busy period of 2 months. This will be a part time role (2-3 days a week).
Important: successful candidate will need a DBS.

Skills required:

Proficiency with databases preferably experience of a CRM fundraising database (they use ThankQ)
Good IT skills generally particularly use of MS Office e.g. Excel, Powerpoint etc
Finance acumen dealing with donations, gift aid, spreadsheets etc
Interpersonal skills good telephone manner and needs to present well face-to-face at events (and with ease)
Excellent organisation skills multiple events coming up, some very significant
Ability to communicate well in writing (and enjoys copywriting)

Key tasks:

Event organisation (with another member of the team)
Accounts work i.e. input of donations onto the fundraising database and regular liaison with Finance about donations, gift aid, allocation to funds etc
Database work - inputting, updates, analysis/reports (data and financial), bulk email comms
Social media management - website, twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
