A great opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Coordinator for a national charity in order to cover busy period of approximately 3 months.

Salary: £16.48ph

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Work closely with Communications and Marketing, Campaigns, Local Impact and Development teams to develop and implement sales and engagement plans
  • Work with the Communications and Marketing team to ensure that wider marketing and communications and engagement activity is supportive of sales targets
  • Carry out direct sales activity including face-to-face meetings, on the telephone and presenting at various forums and local and national events
  • Work closely with the Operations Coordinator (Development) and Local Impact department to brief commissioned work for effective delivery
  • Work with the Communications and Marketing team on the production of new sales collateral and identifying new marketing channels within the corporate market and Human Resources and Staff Wellbeing markets (online and offline)
  • Build strong working relationships with our existing project networks to maximize upsell opportunities
  • Undertake research to support proactive identification of new opportunities to recruit customers
  • Establish an integrated customer relationship plan
  • Coordinate the mail-outs and emails to our customers and prospects
  • Be the first point of contact for external sales over the telephone and via email

 

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience of successfully achieving targets in a sales role
  • Strong understanding of Business Development principles and processes
  • Experience in creating and implementing sales and marketing plans that have successfully retained existing customers and attracted new ones
  • Experience of developing marketing/sales collateral for print, the web and/or e-communications
  • Experience of leading a project management team motivating colleagues and coordinating their work
  • Experience of sales order systems
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to construct and implement dynamic project plans
  • Ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Excellent telephone manner, with good English comprehension
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with external stakeholders
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A good level of numeracy
