Events Executive

Job description

An incredible sports-based charity is in search of an Events Executive to join their close knit team, and Harris Hill are delighted to be assisting them with their search.

This organisation uses sport and physical activity to bring about real social change at the heart of their community, providing people of all ages and abilities with the potential to build confidence, improve their mental and physical wellbeing and even to progress into employment opportunities. They use sport to tackle social isolation, and break down barriers that might deter people from participating.

The charity consists of a small but incredibly hard-working team of 35, and you’ll be joining an events team of 3. The wider team are close-knit, great fun and pride themselves on their friendliness and excellent sense of humour – there are plenty of after-work events and clubs to get involved with.

In this role, you, alongside another Events Executive, will manage a varied and exciting portfolio of fundraising events. The events will range from corporate charity dinners to match day takeovers, and will involve a combination of both special and challenge event fundraisers.

To be considered for the role, you will need:

  • Experience of event organisation, ideally within a charity or notfor-profit background.

  • Good knowledge of fundraising and third sector organisations.

  • A driving license and access to a vehicle.

  • Exceptional organisation, communication and prioritisation skills.

  • A real passion for using sports for social change.

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 p.a.

Location: North West London (NW4) – 3 or 4 days per week in the office
