Events Manager

Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a national charity to recruit for an Events Manager to lead their events programme - developing, promoting, and delivering a range of events that maximise income, drive supporter engagement and raise the charity’s profile.

As an Events Manager you will:

  • Work closely with the organisation's senior stakeholders and the fundraising teams to develop a strategy for special events that drives major funded engagement, cultivates opportunities, and maximises income.

  • Manage event committees, nurture relationships with key individuals and positively influence their engagement with and contributions to the charity's special events programme.

  • Oversee the delivery of the sports & challenges programme, ensuring its development, promotion and delivering first class supporter care.

To be successful, you must have experience:

  • Managing a range of successful events

  • Delivering events that generate income

  • Managing suppliers and event venues

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and teams, including Senior Leadership Teams and external committees, to deliver events to reach shared goals

  • Developing events as a relationship building/stewardship tool

  • Experience of managing staff and/or volunteers

  • Experience of setting and managing budgets

  • Understanding of Special Events Committees and networks

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Contract type:  Full-time, permanent

Location:  Leatherhead, Surrey
