Legacy Marketing Officer

Harris Hill is working with an International Aid charity to assist their search for an interim Legacy Marketing Officer.

This role will cover a 3 month period, starting January but with a couple days handover in mid December.

The post holder will report to the Legacy Marketing Manager. The post holder will work with and support the regional legacy teams to promote legacy and in memory giving to supporters and to help ensure that legacy giving messages are embedded within wider fundraising activities.

Experience:
Degree or equivalent other training and experience in this area of work or in fundraising.
Interest in developing world issues.
Substantial fundraising or marketing experience in a wide range of marketing disciplines.
Sound knowledge of marketing/fundraising techniques.#
Ability to develop and implement creative and effective marketing strategies.
Significant experience in data selection and data analysis with the purpose of informing supporter communications.
Excellent project management skills and substantial experience of managing relationships with creative agencies and external suppliers.
A sound understanding of the financial and legal issues relating to legacies.
Ability to understand and to communicate complex and sensitive legal and financial issues.
An ability to influence both colleagues and supporters.
Significant experience handling competing priorities.
Experience of handling sensitive legacy/in memory discussions with supporters with tact and compassion.
Experience working independently and an ability to use own initiative to meet targets and to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Experience of working with databases or CRM systems.
Significant experience of working effectively as part of a team.
