Harris Hill is urgently seeking an interim Press Officer, immediately until the end of December, on a hybrid, full time basis. 

This role is working for an international charity, whose work has increased, so require more support within the press team.

Experience:

Experience working in a press officer, ideally within international journalism.

Understanding of UK media with good contacts.

Able to pitch stories and features to radio, print, online and TV.

Knowledge of world affairs would be useful and be able to demonstrate an understanding humanitarian issues.

Superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to reach a wide range of audiences.

Project Management skills

Desirable

Network of contacts within broadcast, production house, online and distribution agencies.

Happy to travel overseas if required.

Experience of pitching and delivering features, production and distribution of broadcast footage.

Previous experience within a humanitarian organisation.

Able to speak French or Arabic.
