I am currently looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support an amazing Christmas transport campaign for an outstanding and innovative homelessness charity. The purpose of this role is to manage and process suitably qualified volunteers to support the charity's Christmas transport service.

Job responsibilities:
Coordinate the recruitment of a sufficient number of Transport Volunteers to meet the needs of the project
Ensure that all drivers are processed, that their documents are checked and they are qualified to drive Crisis vehicles
Organise or run all necessary training and briefings for Transport Volunteers
Ensure all information about vehicles is recorded and up to date, that they are added to insurance, registered for Congestion Charge etc.
Develop a schedule and manage Volunteers in the delivery/collection and return of all vehicles
Organise office provisions for Transport Volunteers
Maintain and manage Transport job booking system, training necessary Volunteers at the start of the project
Ensure a full and complete handover of all vehicles and necessary information to Transport Volunteers at the start of the project along with a hand back at the end of the project
Implement procedures to reduce fines and damages, manage the payment of any charges/fines accrued and coordinate any repairs if necessary
Work with the Logistics Team to ensure any space used for parking meets requirements and safety standard
Manage both office based and Christmas Volunteers in the run up to Christmas supporting with administration and other tasks where necessary
Support the Resourcing team to ensure an adequate number of donated/hired vehicles are available to service the needs if the campaign
Work under the guidance of the Resourcing team to manage donor relationships and improve donor retention
Evening and weekend work will be required and time off in lieu will be given the charity will also be operational during the period of 22-30 December 2019 therefore you will be expected to be available to work as required!
