Project Manager-Literacy Hubs

Job description

I am currently looking for an experienced Project Manager(Literacy Hubs) for an inspirational children's educational charity. This role is responsible for the project management and delivery of Hubs in Bradford, Hastings, and the Black Country. You will also support activity in other Hubs, including the delivery of the Connecting Stories project. You will be the lead for three Hub areas and will directly line manage one member of staff, matrix manage a second and have direct delivery responsibility in the third area. Please note the fixed term is contract until 31 August 2021.

Key responsibilities
Lead the set up and development of Hub activity, in order to meet desired outputs and outcomes
Support Hub Managers to develop and deliver projects and activities to raise literacy levels in each Hub
Develop and maintain project plans, risk register and budgets, and report on these as required
Ensure strategic alignment between the charity , local authorities and other stakeholders
Broker relationships with local partners and resources
Develop relationships with schools, promoting our resources and training
Provide onsite support with events and activities 
Develop and manage project budgets, including oversight of any budgets delegated to local partners
Manage team members, including locally-based staff, contractors and sub-contractors

Person specification
Extensive project management experience
Effective community engagement
Working in, or with, the education sector or with schools/children and young people
Working in, or with, the voluntary sector
Relationship management, including development and management of funding relationships
Working supportively as part of a dynamic and collaborative team in a changing environment
Excellent stakeholder management
Line management
