Harris Hill is thrilled to be working with this large national children's charity again in their search for a Senior Philanthropy Manager, based in the North and the Midlands. This role is integral to the region and is an exciting time to join the organisation. The post holder will be responsible for managing 4 brilliant Philanthropy Managers across the region and working on a multi-million pound budget.

The Philanthropy Individuals team is made up of 13 fundraisers who collectively raise around £4m a year. This team is led by the Associate Head of Philanthropy into which this post reports. The Senior Philanthropy Manager (North & Mids) position will manage four members of this team, who are
themselves based in North West, Yorkshire and Midlands, and responsible for raising roughly half of this sum.

You'll be responsible for supporting and developing line reports to maximise the longterm relationships of all new and existing individual donors in the North and Midlands capable of gifts ranging from £5,000 to £1m+, as well as developing and managing your own donor/prospect file.

The success of the team is dependent on the skills, expertise and commitment of its Senior Philanthropy Manager and Fundraisers, along with their effective collaboration with colleagues across the organisation. These enable the team to form strong and lasting connections directly between the charity's work and specific donors and prospects, through highly effective and personalised solicitation and stewardship.

Experience required:

• You will need experience of line management, but if you have line managed only 1 then please still do enquire as they are open to looking at step up candidates.
• Brilliant stewardship and strategy skills around Philanthropy.
• Considerable personal experience of securing support from wealthy individuals, preferably through face to face interactions whilst leading others to do the same
