Supporter Development Manager

Job description

Harris Hill are delighted to be supporting this international medical humanitarian charity to recruit a Supporter Development Manager. In this role you will manage the supporter development programme, oversee all communications to warm donors and focus on building relationships with individual supporters. Furthermore you will develop warm audiences to increase their contribution, and work with the Stewardship Officer to improve the stewardship programme and donor engagement.

You will be able to draw upon a wealth of content from around the globe and have regular access to operational staff currently working in the field to develop powerful stories to engage donors. This charity takes a more journalistic approach to its communications, so someone with a flair for writing would be well suited to this position.

Key responsibilities will include

o Manage MSF UK's "supporter journey" and outgoing campaigns to existing MSF donors
o Manage outsourced fundraising suppliers.
o Feed into the content selection and design of the Dispatches magazine for all MSF supporters and manage the production, print, mailing and delivery of the magazine.
o Manage supporter development mail campaigns, including aligning the emergency warm campaigns with other channels to stimulate cash giving.

This role has a healthy split in terms of content creation and process management so is a great opportunity for an experienced fundraising candidate who enjoys both aspects, or someone who is looking to step up and stretch themselves.

Please note that this is an extended maternity cover and is a fixed term contract for 14 month, with an anticipated start date in November 2022.
