Job description

A fantastic children’s charity are looking for a Residential Support Worker based in Gloucestershire.


As Residential Support Worker you will work with a team of staff in supporting a young person with their day-to-day personal needs. You will help to maintain a safe and fun environment for both staff and the young person within the home and whilst out and about in the community.


You will be based at a Forever home in a beautiful setting in Gloucestershire; the home is for a young person with complex needs and a high level of challenging behaviour with a care ratio of 4:1.

Key Responsibilities Include providing lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing, and managing risk and co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or recognised equivalent) or if you do not possess this you must be prepared to complete this within 2 years of commencing employment with us, full support will be provided. You must be resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge, with a ‘can do' attitude.
 

This is a career pathway position, which enables postholders to progress their career by taking on additional responsibilities, with an increase to pay (consistent with our pay progression scheme-available separately).
