Travel Officer
Job description
I am looking for an exceptional Travel Officer to work with an exciting and innovative children's charity. This varied role will see you handle national and international travel and worldwide hotel and conference bookings. You will also assist the Office Manager with research and document preparation concerning travel security. 
 
Main duties: 
Travel & Conference: 
Lead travel bookings, managing and processing all travel requests 
Act to ensure safe and efficient travel operations 
Book hotels, transport and conference rooms 
Produce travel packs for staff 
Handle cancellations and amendments in timely manner. 
Record all travel in the travel calendar and relevant spreadsheets. 
Source new travel suppliers to ensure best possible rates 
Compare invoices with travel transactions to validate every charge 
 
Travel Security: 
Ensure all country security reports are up to date 
Assist the Office Manager with research on security situations in new areas 
Book risk assessments between traveller and Office Manager 
Liaise with travel insurance contacts 
Assist the Office Manager in ensuring that all staff comply with the safety and security policy 
To lead and manage overall travel delivery globally, focusing on building relationships, impact and overall travel department performance
