Grants Officer

Harris Hill is delighted to be recruiting for a Grants Officer on behalf of a growing and entrepreneurial charity supporting high-value philanthropy and grant-making in the UK and internationally.

Location: Central London (Hybrid – 2 days office / 2 days home working)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + bonuses
Contract: Full-time, Permanents

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced grant-maker with strong knowledge of UK charity law and grant-making compliance. You'll manage a varied portfolio of grants, undertake due diligence, and help deliver funding that creates meaningful impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess and review grant requests in line with compliance requirements.
  • Conduct due diligence and make balanced funding recommendations.
  • Manage UK and international grant portfolios, including complex cases.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date with charity law and sector developments.
  • Support the continuous improvement of grant-making processes.
  • Assist with impact reporting and represent the organisation at events where required.

About you

You will have:

  • At least three years' experience in a UK grant-making or philanthropic organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK charity law and Charity Commission guidance.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and excellent attention to detail.
