Harris Hill is urgently seeking an experienced People Advisor
to support a well-established national charity on a temporary basis for approximately one month.
This is a hands-on HR advisory role, providing first-line advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of people matters. You’ll need to be confident picking up an existing workload quickly and providing practical, accurate HR advice from day one.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing first-line advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and people matters
- Supporting managers with employee relations cases including absence, performance, conduct and conflict
- Advising on HR processes and employment law, escalating more complex cases where appropriate
- Processing HR transactions and maintaining accurate records and case notes
- Supporting areas such as contractual changes, maternity leave and redundancy calculations
- Handling sensitive employee information with a high level of confidentiality
- Working collaboratively with the wider People team to ensure a responsive and consistent HR service
We’re looking for someone with previous HR/People advisory experience
, a good working knowledge of UK employment law and the confidence to advise managers on employee relations matters. A CIPD qualification would be beneficial, although equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
This is an urgent temporary requirement, so you must be available to start immediately or at very short notice. A current DBS is also required.
