Are you a BACP/UKCP Accredited Service Manager looking for your next opportunity
 I am excited to be working with an amazing mental health charity in search of a part-time (28 hour week) BACP/UKCP Accredited Counselling Service Manager. As Counselling Service Manager, you will oversee the operation and development of the Counselling Service, manage and support the work of all involved in the provision of the service, including external supervisors.
 Main duties:
 Strategic planning and development:
 In liaison with other services and external organisations, assess unmet need and develop new services to meet that need
 Work with the Head of Mental Health & Wellbeing Services to seek new funding opportunities to maintain and develop the service
 Represent the service in joint planning meetings and working parties as agreed and requested by the Head of Mental Health & Wellbeing Services
 Work in partnership with other managers to ensure the efficient operation of the Counselling Service
 Represent the service at networking meetings with service users, commissioners and other service providers
 Maintain the charity's accreditation with the BACP
 Manage the part time counsellors and administration team, ensuring they meet their targets, providing a good service
 Work with Head of Mental Health & Wellbeing Services on team recruitment, team induction, probation, ensure that mandatory training and staff developmental needs are met through ongoing feedback, monthly supervision and yearly appraisal
 Oversee and manage assessment interviews and allocation of volunteer counsellors and staff counsellors
 Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients and to provide highly specialist advice to counsellors and supervisees on the psychological aspects of risk assessment and management
