Harris Hill are delighted to be working with the leading international maritime charity in their search for a new Head of Corporate Development.
Job title: Head of Corporate Development
Location: London based – 1 day in the office is a requirement
Grade and salary: Circa £55,000 - £60,000
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Context and responsibilities within this role:
Since 2017, the current Development Director has built a strong and effective team focused on all aspects of fundraising and communications. The organisation are breaking new ground, with their new international event last year which raised U$1.35m gross. The Director of Development has a large network of corporate contacts across the world and the new Head of Corporate Development will work with her to capitalise on these relationships. They anticipate that corporate income will continue its growth pattern to £400K in 2024, with events income being in addition to this.
Within this role the candidate will be responsible for:
Work with the Director of Development to further build upon and implement a sustainable corporate fundraising strategy, to enable the establishment of high-value, long term relationships with corporate entities through fostering new and developing existing relationships.
Drive new corporate fundraising partnerships with national and global companies in UK and overseas.
Raise income and profile through conferences, dinners and other industry events
Manage the Events team and the events programme
Deputise for the Director of Development as required and requested
They are now looking for:
Proven skills in the strategic development of corporate fundraising
Excellent track record of successful corporate fundraising and event management
Evidence of significant results in former fundraising positions, including managing corporate and event functions and exploiting new opportunities
Strong experience of managing people within a fundraising context
