Job description

Harris Hill is recruiting for a Head of Finance & Operations for this community-based charity based in Hampshire.

  • Salary: £60,000pa - £63,000pa

  • Report to: Chief Executive

  • Location: Hampshire

  • Position: Full Time, 5 days a week

  • Hybrid: 2 days a week is required at their offices in Hampshire

Purpose of Job

You will have responsibility for the finance function, HR & Operational Governance, operating and maintaining appropriate financial controls and governance arrangements with all activity being compliant with all Charity and Financial Regulations. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing systems and processes to ensure finance and operations are efficient, resilient, and robust and enable effective and meaningful reporting.

  • Working alongside the SLT around governance and annual finance planning, aligning to the wider business process and preparing reports.

  • Full management of the operations team, to include HR, Systems and Governance of the Charity.

  • Ensuring effective monitoring and financial performance, producing, and organising monthly management accounts.

  • Produce and analyse monthly management accounts reporting to the CEO on performance, trends and risks including balance sheet, cashflow forecast, month-end closedown, manage payroll and perform month end reconciliations and corrections.
