Registration Officer

Job description

A well-known membership organisation is looking for a Registration Officer. The post-holder will need to be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the professional registration functions, i.e. the recruitment and retention of members to the professional registers. The Registration Officer is responsible for supporting and promoting these registrations through providing accurate advice and guidance to prospective applicants. The Registration Officer is responsible for the processing of applications for professional registration and for delivering professional registration workshops. The post holder is expected to run these workshops both internally at the office and externally with the current employer contacts, as well as any events they run externally. This role involves frequent travel across the UK and ROI.


Key responsibilities

Acting proactively in encouraging employers to support registered status amongst their workforce developing and delivering interactive professional registration workshops.
To support and promote registered status.
Liaising with the Engineering Council to ensure that policies and procedures meet their requirements in order to maintain the license to award CEng, IEng and EngTech
Liaising with the Science council to ensure that policies and procedures meet their requirements
Updating and maintaining the database maintaining links with relevant external professional networks


Person specification
Experience of processing applications for membership
Experience of delivering presentations and workshops
Proven ability to build relationships and negotiate with stakeholders of all levels
Proven ability to provide advice and guidance on matters of a sensitive or confidential nature to individuals and organisations
Proven ability to work in a team and work independently
Experience of successfully delivering presentations
Experience of writing reports/minutes
Experience of working with volunteers is desirable
