Senior Events Officer
Job description
Working with a brilliant animal charity in North West London who are looking for a Senior Events Officer to oversee a varied portfolio of events, including challenge and special events.
Duties and responsibility:
- To develop and monitor the Events strategy with the team, focusing on continuing and improving the events portfolio
- Line manage an Events Officer, providing support with regular one to one meetings
- To implement and deliver the charities events from start to finish, including logistics, venue booking, research, site booking etc
- To work towards and achieve annual income targets for Events in the charity
- To support and motivate the event participants, supporters and volunteers
- Work closely with other teams to develop and monitor communications plans to maximise funds raised and grow/maintain relationships with participants
- To work closely with the Volunteer department in managing event volunteers where appropriate.
Skills and requirements:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience of working in the events/charity industry, planning and organising varying events
- A background of managing income generating events and the drive to exceed financial targets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work to deadlines
