Job description

A leading charity - dedicated to ending one the world's most ancient diseases and transforming the lives of those who have been affected by it, across Asia and Africa - is seeking an Advocacy & Policy Advisor.

The charity is looking for someone who is a people person, able to quickly build strong relationships and confidently persuade decision-makers of the need for change; passionate about global health, disability inclusion and human rights, wanting to ensure the voice of marginalised people is incorporated into policies that affect them; able to influence national or international development policy on development.

Skills / experience required:
You will be an excellent relationship builder, skilled networker and confident speaker, able to build partnerships, influence key stakeholders, mobilise champions and convince people of the need for change.

With expert knowledge in international development and having a specialism in an area related to the organisations work (such as NTDs, global health, disability, mental health, human rights), you will have a passion for using research evidence for advocacy messaging.

With your excellent written skills, you will be able to write powerful advocacy materials suitable for UK lobbying and for supporting partners in the Global South.
