Appeals & Mid Value Development Manager

Job description

The Direct Giving team at a leading cancer charity is looking for an enthusiastic fundraiser with previous direct marketing experience to join the team as the Appeals & Mid Value Development Manager. This is a really important role responsible for delivering a successful warm and cold direct mail programme, including the charity's Mid Value donor and VIP Club activity. This role is an integral part of the Direct Giving team, which sits in the wider Fundraising and Engagement Directorate.

You will oversee the annual strategy for Appeals & Mid Value, ensuring consistency in quality, approach and analysis across all campaigns, paying particular attention to budgets and compliance. You will also be responsible for managing and developing four fantastic team members, helping them to deliver their own projects and KPIs, as well as encouraging and supporting them to develop their skills as fundraisers.

The charity is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the team and continue to develop their existing programme, whilst also bringing new ideas to the table to ensure strategic growth of this important fundraising channel. The successful candidate will have a passion for the charity sector, excellent communication and numerical skills, a thorough working knowledge of DM techniques and the ability to manage a busy programme and meet tight deadlines. You should have line management experience, a keen attention to detail and a strong ability when it comes to budgeting and reporting. You ll be enthusiastic and positive, and have excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
