Bid Development Officer

Job description

Harris Hill are working with a national charity that supports women and children affected by domestic to recruit Bid Development Officer. This charity provide practical support and advice where required as well as safe residential support for these families.

Based in London this role is responsible for researching and making written applications for funding to support the work of the organisation

Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue a diverse range of funding opportunities to support the development of new services in the area of violence against women and girls
- Produce high quality content for Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Invitations to Tender (ITT), grant applications and tender presentations
- Deliver completed written proposal responses to a high standard against agreed deadlines
- Support a smooth transition from the development team to the operational project manager during mobilisation of successful bids

Experience and skills
- Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience of writing persuasive competitive bids for income generation
- Strong knowledge of the tendering and bid management process
- The preferred candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and awareness of the commissioning environment and working with local authorities and government departments
- The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
