Job title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 p.a. (plus 2,000 relocation package)
Location: Based in West Wales Cardigan, Ceredigion, SA43 1DW

Area 43 (Cardigan Youth Project) is an inspirational charity, which runs a Drop-in Centre in Cardigan, providing information, support and training to young people aged 16-25 and counselling services to those aged 10-30. Founded as a community needs-led project in 1996 we have been at the centre of the Third Sector in West Wales for more than 20 years. Area 43 provides a safe, fun, informative and inspiring environment for young people to access support; empowering young people to express themselves by engaging with the issues that affect them directly.

Now in 2020, Area 43 has been awarded a grant by the National Lottery Community Fund which largely covers the running costs of the Centre for the next five years. This means that we have a tremendous opportunity to extend our services in new directions.

To coincide with the retirement of the present incumbent, Area 43 is looking for a new CEO to maintain our existing services to the high level we have achieved but also to develop new activities and services for our existing and new client groups.

Key responsibilities:
- Co-ordinating the smooth running of Area 43 and the Drop-In Centre, supporting the whole staff team and liaising with and reporting to the Trustees
- Enhancing and developing Area 43 s offer to young people including things such as information, support, training and counselling services.
- Defining and delivering a roadmap, fostering innovation and change, to deliver strategic goals.
- Maintaining existing and developing new funding streams

As well as a demonstrable and genuine interest in the work of Area 43, the successful candidate will have experience of:
- CEO or senior management team level experience with wide-ranging responsibility at an organisation of comparable scale and complexity
- Developing and implementing wide-reaching strategic plans, translating vision to reality
- Considerable experience of managing robust operational and financial performance
- Oversight of budgets of comparable scale and complexity
- Entrepreneurial and creative approach to growth, combined with proven experience in leading effective income generation strategies.

Bellach yn 2020, mae Area 43 wedi derbyn grant gan Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol sydd i raddau helaeth yn talu costau rhedeg y Ganolfan am y pum mlynedd nesaf. Golyga hyn bod gennym gyfle aruthrol i ymestyn ein gwasanaethau i gyfeiriadau newydd.

I gyd-fynd ag ymddeoliad y deiliad presennol, mae Area 43 yn chwilio am Brif Swyddog Gweithredol newydd i gynnal ein gwasanaethau presennol i'r lefel uchel yr ydym wedi'i chyflawni ond hefyd i ddatblygu gweithgareddau a gwasanaethau newydd ar gyfer ein grwpiau cleientiaid presennol a newydd.

Cyfrifoldebau allweddol:
- Cydlynu rhedeg Area 43 a'r Ganolfan Galw Heibio'n llyfn, cefnogi'r t m staff cyfan a chysylltu 'r Ymddiriedolwyr ac adrodd yn l iddynt
- Gwella a datblygu cynnig Area 43 i bobl ifanc - gan gynnwys pethau megis gwybodaeth, cefnogaeth, hyfforddiant a gwasanaethau cwnsela.
- Diffinio a darparu map ffordd, meithrin arloesedd a newid, i gyflawni nodau strategol.
- Cynnal ffrydiau cyllido presennol a datblygu rhai newydd

Yn ogystal diddordeb amlwg a brwd yng ngwaith Area 43, bydd gan yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus brofiad o:
- Brofiad ar lefel Prif Swyddog Gweithredol neu uwch d m rheoli gyda chyfrifoldeb eang mewn sefydliad o raddfa a chymhlethdod tebyg
- Ddatblygu a gweithredu cynlluniau strategol pellgyrhaeddol, gan drosi gweledigaeth i realiti
- Brofiad sylweddol o reoli perfformiad gweithredol ac ariannol cadarn
- Goruchwylio cyllidebau o raddfa a chymhlethdod tebyg
- Agwedd entrepreneuraidd a chreadigol tuag at dwf, ynghyd phrofiad profedig mewn arwain strategaethau cynhyrchu incwm effeithiol.
