Job description

Macular Society is recruiting a new Chief Executive Officer to lead our organisation to achieve:

  • our vision to end macular disease,

  • and our mission to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease by funding world-class research and providing the best advice and support.

To do this our CEO will live our values and enable our teams to succeed by providing exceptional leadership and strategic direction – together we will Beat Macular Disease.

 

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support.

 

To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to Beat Macular Disease forever.

 

Job title: Chief Executive Officer

 

Salary: £95,000 - £105,000 p.a.

 

Location: Andover with Hybrid Working Options.  We envisage at least 50% of time to be spent with colleagues working from our Andover office during the first year in post.

 

Contract: Full time / permanent
