Chief Executive (part time)
Job description
Marsha Phoenix Memorial Trust was established in 1979 as a supported housing charity in the London Borough of Lewisham. We provide accommodation for young women aged between 16 and 21, in two hostels: our main house in Brockley, and two second-stage shared flats in a house in New Cross. We support residents with online or face to face counselling, telephone support, help to attend health or housing appointments, befriending, self-help groups, and advocacy support through the criminal justice process.
The trust was named after founder Sybil Phoenix’s daughter Marsha who died in 1973, and has a uniquely non-institutional style, to give young women a friendly and secure base from which to develop self-respect and the independence to move on to live successfully in their own homes.
