Communications Assistant

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Communications Assistant for a national charity in order to cover busy period and the charity s most important event of the year.
This will be approximately two months contract.
Start date: ideally 25th November

Key Responsibilities will include:

Draft new stories for the charity s website and newsletter.
Support with administration for the Parliamentary Reception.
Send out press packs
Help to monitor a digital campaign, including moderating content from social media.
Researching content for the charity in review booklet
Follow up after the UK Ceremony categorising photography, assisting with mail outs.
Additional communications duties as required.


In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Experience of writing clearly for a range of outputs (website, social media and email)
Ability to work quickly under pressure and with tight deadlines
Experience of using social media (Facebook and Twitter)
Computer Literate.
Ability to record and pass on press enquiries by phone or emails.
Ability to communicate clearly with high profile individuals and their offices.
Experience of providing administrative support.
