Communications Officer

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Communications Officer for a charity based in London in order to cover recruitment process of approximately of 2 months.

The communications officer has a key role to play in planning and delivering communications to key groups, such as supporters, our stakeholders or staff. The postholder will write, edit, co-ordinate and publish content across various channels, including the website, social media, and print and online marketing materials. They will also plan and implement communications and campaigns to raise awareness.

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Strong organisational skills
Experience of writing for a political audience
Strong understanding of current affairs and political processes
Experience of meeting politicians
Ability to write clearly and accurately
Team player, with good interpersonal skills and the confidence to build networks
Creative person willing to come up with ideas and to go the extra mile to deliver tasks and projects
Basic knowledge and understanding of social media platforms
Experience of responding quickly and agilely to media requests
Confident communicator
Ability to prioritise competing deadlines
Well organised
Experience of computer programmes including (Excel, Word and Photoshop)
