I am excited to be working with a well-established Christian organisation in search of a temporary Communications Officer. You will support the Head of Fundraising and Communications to deliver clear and consistent communications that will raise awareness, drive membership growth and facilitate fundraising across the organisation.
The post holder will contribute to the organisation's Christian faith discussions, write and review faith based resources. For this reason, the post holder must be comfortable operating in a Christian environment.

Main Duties of Role:
Proactively create and deliver high quality, inspiring multi-channel content (including, but not limited to, members magazine, email marketing, social media, campaigns and website) to engage key stakeholders and attract new followers.
Co-ordinate the production of the bi-annual member's magazine; leading editorial meetings, writing articles, conducting interviews, managing externals and overseeing timelines This will be the kick-off and planning stages during your contract.
Co-ordinate the production of the annual impact report (annual review). This will involve meetings with teams to source content, manage external copy writers and designers.
Create content and manage the charities social media pages.
Manage the charities website, including uploading all content and images, being familiar with Drupal will be a strong advantage.
Proactively seek opportunities and generate ideas and content to achieve positive national media coverage in print, online, and broadcast media.
Measure and evaluate performance of media engagement, generating actionable reports.
Provide copywriting and editing support across all internal and external communications to maintain consistent tone, style and messaging across all outputs and act as a 'brand guardian' together with colleagues in the communications team.
Take part in the charity's out-of-office media enquiries and social media rota as required.
