Communications Officer (Part Time)
Job description
An ambitious and well respected charity are looking for a Communications Officer to act as content creator, designer and distributor for the busy Communications Team. You will help raise awareness of the impact of the charity on lives of patients and their families. You will produce communications to support awareness of the charity's services and income generating activities and contribute to marketing activities, boosting community, digital and social media engagement.
The ideal candidate will be:
Able to write copy/stories/press releases effectively and sensitively
Capable of using design applications
Organised and analytical with a digital-media focus
Able to juggle multiple projects and tasks at the same time
Willing to attend and support Hospice events and activities, including those out-of-hours
Role and Responsibilities
Sensitively interview supporters and patients/family members to secure consent and positive quotes and stories about how the Charity is impacting their lives
Write fresh, engaging and targeted copy for a variety of audiences and channels including: case studies, patient information materials, our website, publications, campaign marketing collateral and press releases.
Draft, design and edit materials for supporters, partners and other stakeholders, including newsletters, leaflets, posters and social media posts using design tools (Canva, Adobe Premiere) to create marketing materials in house
Support the management of digital channels to ensure campaign reach, engagement and influence for a variety of audiences
Administer social media channels to monitor, report and produce analytics reports
Generate reports using Google Analytics and other social media measurement tools
