Communications Project Manager - 4dpw

Job description

Harris Hill is seeking a Communications Project Manager on a 4dpw basis, starting ASAP until August for a national charity.

Main area of responsibility.
To manage the development and delivery of key business and transformational projects across the organisation in 2021 as well as manage core business projects within the communications department.
To manage the ongoing development of the organisations member magazine a digital magazine 3 times a year.
To manage the transformation waiting list and 4 year old projects and well as project managing any cross directorate projects.

Duties:
To effectively manage all workload ensuring work is delivered to schedule, providing regular senior management updates and identifying areas for better project management support across the directorate.
To work with the communications to set direction, identify new opportunities to add value to members, monitor and maintain quality standards in the content developed and ensure that the standard is consistent across all communications products.
To ensure that every project plan is consulted on with staff teams and volunteers and make decisions on development based on interpreting and recognising their feedback.
To monitor and manage multiple complex projects, spot and resolve issues and risks, and ensure outputs are delivered to time and within budget
To identify, develop and maintain effective project, data and information management strategies, tools and systems across the team to ensure smooth project execution, reporting of progress and effective content maintenance.
To work in close collaboration with volunteers on the development and delivery of our communications projects, ensuring effective partnership working.
To work with other staff teams to identify opportunities ensure timely development of project plans, identify appropriate opportunities for marketing, media coverage, etc and to ensure alignment with other work across the business.
To ensure that expectations of internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including third party providers and sponsors, are managed effectively and that they are interacting with the work in a timely and effective way.
To undertake qualitative evaluation of our communications feeding learnings directly into development projects.

Experience:
Strong project management skills to ensure content is delivered to time and budget.
At least six months' experience of working directly with young people aged 4-25, delivering activities in a charity, arts, heritage, leisure or similar setting.
Experience of writing successful exciting, active and age-appropriate content for young people aged 4-18 and a volunteer audience
